a track is a track, is a track is a track. but not every track is just a track. trackletons stands for much more than just tracks. on his debut ep you wont get to hear the substandard generic ordinary music that can be found everywhere. he has it all. disco, house, minimal, techno, you name it, he brings it. welcoming our latest act >trackleton< with his first appearance in form of his >jump ep< adds a variety of deep styles to this 3-tracker like we have not heard it a long while. the a side is a detroit influenced dance-floor sweeper with melodies so deep and beats so sharp that will leave no escape from making heads turning and get your feet dancing. b1 plays it cool all around the bass-line, laying things down in a old-school sounding manner - minimal to the bone, but done so cleverly to ensure that the basics simply sit right and will get you moving. the b-2 track then surprises you with more than just a hint of disco that will be standing out from the norm and creates a nice diversity. one does not often hear music so warm, on point, deep and yet fully dance-floor oriented

dro & lodzy are not only talented videomakers, they also excel in the composition of music. they signed their first ep not yet now on absolut freak (adam sky, frederic de carvalho, slapstick). dilemn and gooseflesh did the remixes on the b side.

50hz is back with another killer!! the jackin sound is still popular and 50hz is one of the leading labels in the scene. jamie b prooves it once again with a track full of jackin beats and vocals. dj robain is new on the label and takes a bit harder.. jack nation repressenting with a jackin beat that bounces from left to right and last but not least ben long finishes the ep in true style. this one is big!!

last time we got hertz on q-records we did not only sell a lot of records, dj misjah and adam beyer also used the tracks on mix-cds. this time he is back, fresh for 2008. the a-side is a groovy piece, were the <groove doctor> himself let you get a portion for the groove la chord-feeling. massive in the arrangement and truly funky! the b-side is a bit different. b1 is very straightforward with very fat beats and a twisted sound that is building. b2 get thoughts over to the joris voorn-style. // special restock !!

lets remixer speak! >it was great to be asked to do this. originally, i wanted to do something really quirky and funky with the strange vocal in human bond, one of my favorite old tracks. i tried a few times but i couldnt really get a vibe going in the funk realm. so i listened to the original over and over again and then the lightbulb turned on. i realized that the original was a monster rave track, like what you would hear in a warehouse in detroit in the 90s. so i threw out my original idea and went crazy with a huge techno builder, something to hype a big rave just like the original. maybe this doesnt sound exactly like what i usually do but that was the fun of making it< claude vonstroke. aa: >bounce your body to the box was one of the first kms records that i owned and it was all about the mike >hitman< wilson mix and force field on the b side. the production on the original was huge. the 909 groove just pounded everything... when that came out there was nothing that came close to it. so it was an honor and a challenge to mix it myself. first came the futurist bounce mix... not released on vinyl, anmerkung, ... which is more of a cover version than a remix. i had a lot of fun with this one but it definitely has a signature that steps away from the original. so i had to take a run at it one more time to pay a proper homage to the original with the flashback mix< mike shannon...
